R1 Models
There are currently three Remington 1911 R1 models in production:
- 1911 R1 (model number 96323) – In Stock!
- 1911 R1 Enhanced (model number 96328)
- 1911 R1 Centennial (model number 96340)
- 1911 R1 OD Limited Edition (model number 96350) – In Stock!
The standard 1911 R1 was introduced in 2010 and the Enhanced and Centennial models are new for 2011. The standard R1 is available for shipping now and the other two are back ordered.
1911 R1 Centennial
The Centennial model is a commemorative model celebrating the 100th anniversary of the 1911 pistol. It has engraving on the slide, a special centennial serial number range, custom wood grips with the Remington logo, and a dovetailed brass bead front sight.
The Centennial model comes with a Centennial Edition certificate and the 1911 multi-tool.
1911 R1 Enhanced
The Enhanced 1911 R1 model is the upgraded performance R1 featuring an anodized aluminum match grade trigger, beavertail grip safety with checkered memory bump, adjustable rear sight with fiber optic front sight, enhanced hammer, enhanced wide thumb safety, and front strap serrations.
The R1 Enhanced model is not yet available for sale but we are hoping they’ll be available soon!
1911 R1 Standard Edition
The 1911 R1 is Remington’s standard 1911 model. It, like the other R1 models is produced in Remington’s Ilion, NY plant. The standard R1 has 3 dot dovetailed sights, double diamond walnut grips, a carbon steel frame and slide, and comes with two magazines.
